Katie Ferrick, Elizabeth Lasensky and Carole Dorshkind in 2007.

Welcome, Acknowledgments and Introductions. We provided background on the impetus of the club, and reiterated that the club would continue to be open to anyone who is a registered Democrat and lives in Menlo Park, Atherton, and East Palo Alto. Twenty members and a ratified set of bylaws are required in order to be chartered. We reviewed member roster and verify membership It was suggested that each person present should commit to getting five other members signed onto the club.

There were some discussion about what each of the members wanted the club to participate in. Woodell said he would like to see us host forums about issues like jobs, transit, housing. He would also like to see us help protect reproductive rights. Nelson said he would like to see us be involved in the Presidential race. Mueller said he would like the club to focus on building optimism for democratic ideals locally. Pollmann would like the club also to have an endorsements process and possibly put out slates.
